Strategic Management & Performance in Municipalities

This course provides information, ideas and examples on government-based budgeting and performance budgeting. Much information is applicable to any government at any level anywhere. The municipalities are a government department that works to develop the surrounding cities and villages lighting roads and working to beautify the streets with trees or guiding boards. Municipalities also implement schemes for citizens and organize work in the markets. Municipalities also play an important role in rainwater drainage and conservation. The mayor is the first official in the municipality and has the great powers in terms of optimal implementation of projects and employment and purchase mechanisms for the operations carried out by the municipality in cities, and the president the municipality is given orders to build municipal buildings and can delegate some powers to its deputy or assistants. There are several sections in the municipalities, the most important of which is the monitoring of land and violations.
